Aguilar Amplification have teamed up with the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation to release a limited run of Hot Pink SL 112 cabinets. The US-based brand will donate money to the foundation with each sale of their bestselling cabinet in this limited colour.
A small amount of these cabs have landed in Australia with the 112 speaker configuration becoming ever more popular for the gigging bassist. Live music has kicked off again here in Australia with smaller venues taking advantage of the demand. We are seeing more and more smaller format gigs happening in cafés and bars than ever before.
Aguilar was at the forefront of the modular bass rig movement and it seems to show no signs of slowing down. The option to downsize for smaller venues or double your output with another portable cabinet has made a huge difference to the way bassists approach the live music environment.
Released in October last year, Aguilar announced the partnership with the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation to raise funds and awareness for the worthy cause.
‘Inspired by the journeys and survivors from our team, Aguilar Amplification will join the world in its efforts to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research during the month of October.’
