When it comes to DJ apps on the iPad, we often can feel spoiled for choice. But nothing is more surprising than that there are many quality DJ Apps available for FREE. So, here we’ll have a look at 3 of my favourite DJ apps for iOS and the iPad. Whether you’re looking for a solution for your next house party with a bunch of friends or you have serious intent to be a world famous DJ or maybe both!!
Although DJing on an iPad may not be considered “authentic DJing” by some DJ elitists, there’s no denying the technology or its existence as a platform that allows a larger user base to grasp the concept of DJing, making it more accessible to those who are unfamiliar with it. Alternatively, if you simply want to relax, have a few drinks, and let these DJ apps take care of the music at your next party, they are perfectly suited for that purpose, regardless of whether or not you want to learn how to DJ. Overall, these apps are fantastic for beginners to learn the art of DJing or to keep the music flowing smoothly at your next event. And did we mention? They’re completely free!
Traktor DJ 2
Whether it’s a few friends at a house party, or a few thousand in a warehouse, you want to make mixing tunes and playing sets something that is easy for everyone to do. Traktor DJ 2 is a DJ app without barriers; it’s free, SoundCloud Go+ integration means you have access to an endless track collection, and Traktor’s song recommendations help you choose which one to play next.
Rekordbox for iOS
Start your DJ journey, or master the art of mixing. Rekordbox is a DJ app that enables everyone, from beginners to professionals, to experience the excitement of DJing. With this app, anyone who loves music can easily start DJing for free. You can also take things to the next level by combining this app with compatible DJ equipment such as the DDJ-FLX4 by Pioneer DJ.
Djay Pro for iPad
Djay’s acclaimed user interface has won multiple Apple Design Awards for excellence in design and ease of use. Building on that foundation, the new Djay offers the most intuitive yet powerful interface we’ve ever made: a classic turntable and a mixer setup, an immersive Automix view with gorgeous album cover display, an all-new 2-deck pro mode to view high resolution waveforms and your library side by side, live music production tools, and so much more.
