The History of ESP Eclipse Guitars
The first ESP Eclipse guitars were produced in the late 80’s but not in the way we know it today. It was originally a tele shaped body with an arched top, which was later discontinued. The name was carried over in 1993 to the model we know now.
The Eclipse features a solid body with a single cutaway. It’s comparisons to the Gibson Les Paul are obvious with its Mahogany body, set-neck construction & 24.75” scale length, although the Eclipse is significantly more ergonomic with its thinner and lighter body with additional cuts and contours for maximum playability and comfort.
Its modern components like EMG or Seymour Duncan pickups, TonePros locking bridges and locking tuners give the Eclipse an upper hand to its competitors and offers more to the player.
