Warm Audio have announced 2 new microphones which are recreations of the classic Neumann U47 and AKG C12, aptly named the WA-47F and WA-CX12. The WA47F is a FET condenser mic which has a quick transient response and wide frequency response like its inspiration. It comes with a hard case and an integrated hard mount.
The WA-CX12 is aimed at recording instruments such as vocals and piano. The circuitry of the WA-CX12 is a reproduction of the original internal design of the first run of the highly coveted C12. It promises open and airy top end and high-quality room tones for which the original was known and it also has an all-brass CK12 style capsule to bring more of that original C12 character to this emulation.
