If you haven’t picked yourself up a Korg Monologue yet, you aren’t doing yourself any favours. Everyone needs this miniature monophonic miracle of a synthesiser in their lives. However, we understand that life throws curveballs and buying a new synth just isn’t always possible. Or maybe you’re some kind of weirdo who prefers to stick to software instruments. Either way, we’ve got a pretty nice freebie for you. We’ve meticulously sampled the Korg Monologue and mapped two patches out within Ableton Live 10’s Sampler Instrument.
Monologue 1 is a pulsing synth stab, ideal for bass in acid house and techno. Monologue rack 2 is a dual oscillator patch, that lets those delicious Korg oscillators shine in all their analogue glory – ideal for funky synth bass lines and the like.
In the download link is an Ableton Live 10 project with each rack on a seperate track. Upon opening it, you may be presented with a missing media warning. You simple need to tell Ableton to look in your unzipped folder for the samples. We assure you, they’re there. Saving these instruments via the disk icon on the top right of your rack with move those samples to your user library.
