A look at Metallica’s Live Guitar Rigs!

Ever wanted to get a closer look of what gear METALLICA uses on the road? Well, you’re in luck!

The Metallica crew recently uploaded a video where guitar techs Chad Zaemisch and Justin Crew walk us through James Hetfield’s and Kirk Hammett‘s “WorldWired” tour guitar rigs.

We get an insight of the inner workings of their huge stage setup as well as some challenges they face working in it. We also get an in-depth look at their amps and guitars. Some of the gear includes Axe-Fx rigs, Maxtrix Power Amps, Mesa Boogie & Randall cabinets and the array of ESP, Ken Lawrence, Jackson & Gibson guitars they use.

Nothing is forgotten in this video, we get a step by step look in to everything. They even show us the pick arrangement they have on the mic stands, pretty extensive don’t you think!?

Metallica recently played their last show for the year and picking back up in Europe on February 1st, 2018. The tour is in support of their tenth studio album ‘Hardwired…To Self-Destruct’, which has sold over a million copies in the United States alone.

We are still waiting for those Australian dates to be announced, but in the meantime check out 19 minutes of guitar nerdery below!
