Prolific DIY developer Momo Muller has added yet another beloved hardware instrument to his library of MIDI controller plug-ins – the Korg Volca Keys – and as per usual it’s available for the bargain price of €5.90 (about AUD$10). It’s no secret the Volca Keys is a little fiddly, the small knobs make subtle changes difficult at the best of times. With Momo’s plug-in (which can run as 32bit, 64bit or stand-alone) you can now control all parameters of your Korg Volca via MIDI from your DAW of choice. There’s also an X/Y pad on the plug-in that can be assigned to any parameters you wish. Pretty Damn good value if you ask us.
If this is the first you’ve heard of Momo, then let us fill you in. For the past couple of years Momo’s been consistently coming up with hardware controller plug-ins where the manufacturers have lagged behind. So far he’s made editors for the Roland TR-8, Roland TR-08, Roland TR-09, Roland TB-03, Korg MicroKorg, Korg Minilogue, Korg MicroKorg XL, Novation Circuit, Roland SE-02, Roland SH-1A, Roland JP-08, Roland JU-06, Roland JX-03, Korg Volca Bass and Korg Volca Beats.
