Following the opsix native and wavestate native releases early this year, Korg has just released the long-awaited native version of their popular modwave synthesizer.
The modwave native, is a fully-compatible software counterpart to the hardware modwave synthesizer. On both macOS and Windows, modwave native is accessible in the VST3, AAX, and standalone formats, as well as AU on macOS. The exchange of sounds between hardware and software is seamless. Produce using native modwave in your DAW, and then use the modwave hardware to perform the same sounds live. With the hardware’s interactive interface, you can make sounds and then send them to a collaborator with a computer. Additionally, you can use any of the numerous third-party sound libraries and sample libraries created for the wavestate or modwave hardware, respectively, that are readily available.
Special crossgrade from hardware modwave
Owners of the hardware modwave are eligible for a crossgrade license to modwave native at the special price of US $49.99, via a coupon code tied to the modwave hardware’s unique ID. Using the hardware and software versions together, you can have the best of both worlds: a physical instrument that responds to your touch, and complete DAW integration.
