TIMMKV Review: Seymour Duncan Nazgul/Sentient Pickups

Browse By

In this video Tim checks out the popular Nazgul/Sentient pickup set from Seymour Duncan. Be warned, this is for the fans of all things heavy!

The Nazgul bridge pickup is unapologetically aggressive thanks to the combination of a large ceramic magnet with custom winding specs. It contains a perfect blend of clarity, saturation and attack, whilst retaining a tight low end. Tones perfect for the studio and stage.

The Sentient neck pickup is a very versatile pickup that delivers a balanced tone, sitting between the Seymour Duncan ’59 and Jazz neck models. It offers more of a vintage style output that sounds crystal clear for clean tones, while it sears for distorted leads.

With these pickups being more on the metal side of things, this set works really well for lower tunings, and are also available for 7 string guitars.

The pickups in this video have been loaded in to an ESP Eclipse and have been custom ordered with Chrome covers, which you can do through their Custom Shop. What a great pairing!
