Spitfire Audio are a British music-tech company, born out of the founders’ disapointment with then-current orchestral sample libraries. Initially a private venture between themselves and an exclusive list of fellow composers and producers, the high-end orchestral libraries eventually became public and now Spitfire have collaborated with the likes of Hans Zimmer, Eric Whitacre, Olafur Arnalds and London Contemporary Orchestra – to name a few.
Mid 2018 saw the company announce they were comitting to gifting away a custom instrument and accompanying library a month, for an undetermined amount of time. Designed to work with their custom built plugin/software LABS, the latest in the series has just been launched – a vintage synth instrument library called PADS. This joins the instruments Soft Piano, Strings, Drums, Amplified Cello Quartet, Electric Piano, Charango and Choir.
