We’ve teamed up with Tye Trujillo to give away a signed version of his signature Morley Wah pedal — the same stompbox he uses to dial in gritty, punk-driven bass tones on tour with Suicidal Tendencies.
Key Features
- Built-in distortion with adjustable tone and volume controls
- Wah mix control for balancing sweep and low-end punch
- Diamond-plate grip surface for stage-ready stability
- Race car blue finish with serious visual attitude
- Personally signed by Tye Trujillo for this Noisegate giveaway

When we caught up with Tye ahead of hitting the stage in Melbourne, he was in full tour mode with Suicidal Tendencies. His signature Wah pedal was right there in the rig. Now, we’ve got one to give away — and yes, it’s signed.
The Pedal Behind the Growl
Tye describes the pedal as the perfect sounding practical rig to bring around. That word practical says a lot. Touring isn’t about overcomplicating your setup. It’s about reliability and tone that works every night.
One of the defining features is the built-in distortion circuit. Instead of flicking distortion on and off throughout the set, Tye leaves it slightly engaged the whole time. That constant grit gives his bass a low-level snarl that cuts through heavy guitars and relentless drums.
The control layout is straightforward: distortion adjuster, distortion volume level, and a Wah mix adjuster. Simple and effective. No menu diving, no unnecessary extras. On a loud stage, that kind of clarity matters.

When he does bring the Wah into play, it’s deliberate. Early on, he admits he used it all over the place and it just sounded like noise. Over time, he learned to make it tastefully impactful instead. It’s about choosing the right moment, not filling every bar with sweep.
That approach is part of what makes his live tone so punchy. The Wah becomes emphasised, not chaotic.
Visually, it’s hard to ignore. The racecar blue finish gives it instant attitude, and the diamond-plate grip adds both traction and personality underfoot. Tye has spoken about how important the look of gear is as part of the overall stage package. When your rig looks good, you feel good. Confidence feeds performance.
If you’ve been thinking about adding a Wah to your pedalboard, this is a pretty serious incentive. Keep an eye on our channels for entry details. One lucky Noisegate reader is about to stomp on something very special!
