Blackstar Announce their 10th Anniversary 10 watt Valve Amplifier Range

Blackstar announce their 10th Anniversary 10 watt valve amplifier range

Blackstar have just recently turned ten years old. Making amps and pedals from 2007, the ex-Marshall employees have really made an impact in the guitar amplifier market. From digital modelling amps to boutique all-valve monsters, they really have all avenues covered. To celebrate ten years in the business Blackstar have released a limited number of single-ended 1×12 guitar combos. These amps tell the story of the UK based brand perfectly by picking three of their most iconic amplifier ranges and packaging them in a sleek 1×12 combo.

All Three 10th Anniversary amps feature:

ECC83 valve in the preamp stage

Specially voiced EL34, 6L6 and KT-88 power amplifiers

Clean and Boost or Overdrive settings, which are footswitchable

Specially voiced Reverb, speaker emulated output and effects loop

A super cool retro styling

A Celestion 70/80 loudspeaker

Artisan 10

The first amplifier to rise from the Blackstar workshop in 2007 is a true British-voiced powerhouse. The iconic EL34 valve in the single-ended power section gives a classic crunch tone that is further more enhanced by a built-in hot preamp boost switch. An amp that dynamically breaks up just like the flagship Artisan range at an affordable price point.

Artist 10

The newest range to the lineup sees a 6L6 output valve for bright, full bodied cleans. The boost switch on this amp engages an overdrive circuit taken from the popular Blackstar HT Drive pedal. This is a great amplifier to combine with your pedalboard.  Reverb can be found on all combos twinned with a Celestion 70/80 12’’ driver.

Series One 10

The Series One range from Blackstar is renowned for its versatility, this 10 watt configuration comes loaded with a powerful KT88 valve in the power stage to enhance this. Inspired by the S-200 you instantly have headroom and super dynamic response from this combo. Hit the boost switch to engage a tight high-gain overdrive, feeding from the KT88 the drive section on the amplifier pulls no punches and delivers true metal grit.
