It’s only January, however, Korg is on a roll adding the Grandstage X to their stage piano lineup. The Grandstage X, features a striking fresh look, seven independent sound engines, 700 preloaded sounds, plus a streamlined user interface. Korg has also included their NuTube technology, adding a warm lo-fi aesthetic to the tone.

Seven Independent Sound Engines
At the core of the Grandstage X are seven independent sound engines, each capable of standing alone.
- Premium Pianos and Electric Pianos: The SGX-2 and EP-1 engines offer a variety of acoustic and electric piano sounds, capturing German classics, Japanese grand pianos, and earthy, distorted tones.
- Unique Organ Sounds: The CX-3, VOX, and FC-1 engines cover various organ sounds, reproducing iconic organs from different eras.
- Diverse Sound Options: With 700 sound programs, the Grandstage X provides versatility. The AL-1 analog modelling sound source offers crisp leads and thick brass sounds, while the HD-1 PCM sound source delivers distinctive keyboard instrument sounds.

Features
- Key-Touch Slider for Expressive Control: The Grandstage X introduces a key-touch slider for real-time control over volume and timbre.
- 3-Part Control Section for Splits and Layering: Neatly arranged buttons and sliders in the part control section offer easy manipulation of parts and splits, enabling simultaneous use of layers and splits for added versatility.
- Infuse Warmth with Nutube and Realistic RH3 Keyboard: The Analog Tone function with Nutube technology adds a warm, tube-driven sound. Crafted with precision in Japan, the Real Weighted Hammer Action (RH3) keyboard reproduces the weight distribution of a grand piano, providing nuanced expression.
- Unison Function for Thickened Sounds: The unique “Unison” function adds a chorus-like expansive effect to synth sounds or FM piano, bringing a new level of creativity.
- User-Friendly Rhythm and Chord Progression Section: Evolving from drum track functionality found on Korg synthesizers, the Grandstage X features a user-friendly rhythm and chord progression section.
