That’s a wrap on Superbooth 24. Over the last 3 days, we’ve seen all kinds of exciting new instruments while attendees got a chance to watch performances and attend workshops. In case you missed it, here are the top things we got excited about over the weekend.
Melbourne Instruments Delia
Our very own locals announced their first keyboard synthesizer featuring MI’s motorized pot technology. It’s a bi-timbral poly with a 49-key velocity and aftertouch sensitive keybed, new multi-mode analog filters, high pass and low pass resonance control, 3-stage overdrive, and even more modulation possibilities. Oberheim TEO-5
Taking the initials of Thomas Elroy Oberheim, TEO packs the essentials of an Oberheim synth into a compact and more affordable instrument. With 4 voices, through-zero FM and iconic SEM filter there’s a lot to like. The sounds we’ve heard so far have been absolutely wild too. Details HERE

UDO Audio Super 8
Now whether this is a response or not to the price tag attached the Super Gemini, the Super 8 looks to be the little cousin with only one set of controls as opposed to 2, 16 voices instead of 20 and no touch-strip. All this with hopefully a lower price tag, and I must say I’m glad. These are amazing looking instruments with equally amazing looking sounds. You still get 2 independent synths in this thing! Crazy. Meng Qi & Whimsical Raps: Horizon
Described as an ‘analog ecosystem for sound and gesture’, Horizon is a set of pinged-filter cores able to be mangled in all kinds of ways with resonance, delay and more. We got a chance to talk Trent Gil, one of the designers, all about it in our wrap up video! Details HERE
Verbos Electronics Sawtooth Star
We visited the Verbos Booth and chatted to Tom about their first stand-alone device. It features MIDI for the first time and a whopping 5 internal oscillators! With the spread control you can create all kinds of harmonies by ‘spreading’ the pitches of the oscillators.

We certainly didn’t get to cover everything, but there’s always next year!! Can’t wait for it.
