Arturia Announce Limited Edition Black Range of Step Controllers

Arturia’s Step range of controllers are tremendously popular amongst a variety of users, particularly those who like to keep their workflow as ‘DAW-free’ as possible. With built-in sequencers as well as CV and MIDI connectivity, they’re a great choice for hardware-oriented musicians and producers. But there’s no reason your computer can’t join in on the fun as they’re all USB equipped, plus their compact footprints and affordable price tags keep them within reach of just about anyone interested in making music.

The Step range continues to grow with recent additions like the super powerful KeyStep Pro, and the very creative KeyStep 37. If you’re not so keen on Arturia’s signature white finish, you can always wait around for the next run of black editions. And good news, that time is now, as Arturia announce limited edition black versions of their entire Step line of controllers. For those playing along at home, that list consists of:

  • KeyStep – Compact Sequencing Keyboard
A polyphonic sequencer and arpeggiator in the familiar form of a portable, highly creative keyboard, perfect for controlling everything from softsynths to modular racks.
  • KeyStep 37 – Creative Idea Generator
A flexible 37-note keyboard with intuitive sequencing, instant chord generation, real-time MIDI controls, scale quantisation, and more – the perfect tool for musical discovery.
  • KeyStep Pro – Universal Sequencing Mastermind
The all-in-one sequencing and performance controller, with 4 tracks, a dedicated drum sequencer, and all-encompassing connectivity – control anything.
  • BeatStep – Portable Pad Controller
An ultra-compact controller with deceptively advanced MIDI, CV, and DAW control capabilities, including mapped controls and instant scale quantisation
  • BeatStep Pro – Beat Making Powerhouse
The BeatStep formula expanded into a supreme multi-faceted controller, with projects, multiple 64-step sequencer tracks, 8 individual drum CV gate outputs, and much more.

As an added bonus, these limited edition black units also include CV cables for connecting to analog hardware, as well as their Analog Lab Intro software instrument and Ableton Live Lite DAW.

The black range of Step controllers are available now in very limited numbers, so speak to your local Arturia dealer to secure one for yourself (or a loved one).
