When Producer, DJ, content creator, and product expert for Arturia Jaxe (Jakub Manaj), recently paid a visit to Australia we jumped at the opportunity to host him in our studios. We asked Jaxe if he had any cool sound design advice for the PolyBrute since the “Limited Edition” Noir version had just been released, and Jaxe didn’t disappoint.
Designed for serious sound creation, the PolyBrute is a cutting-edge synthesiser. The Poly Brute captures iconic analogue sounds flawlessly, from gritty basslines to soaring pads, thanks to its six voices of polyphony, two analogue oscillators, and dual filter section with a Steiner-Parker and a Ladder filter. But this goes beyond a simple retro instrument. A 64-step polyphonic sequencer, a ribbon controller, a digital effects section, and Arturia’s state-of-the-art Morphée pad, which enables you to shape and evolve patches with deft hand control, are just a few of the cutting-edge features that the PolyBrute is packed with. It also has a 32-destination modulation matrix, ribbon controller, and digital effects section. Synthesizer and drum machine enthusiasts at Noisegate love Arturia’s Brute line, and the PolyBrute Noir is a welcome addition to the lineup.
