Kastle ARP synthesiser billed as “a portable semi-modular melodic generator synth for everyone.” has just been released by Bastl Instruments
Small, portable synthesizers are very trendy now and we have a plethora available such as the Korg Volcas, Pocket Operators and Roland’s AIRA compact series. According to Bastl, the Kastle ARP sits along these as it is a portable modular synthesiser designed for the production of generative arpeggios, chord progressions, chiptune-style auditory chaos, and more. It has two power options: USB or three AA batteries, just like the other Kastle family members. It has the ability to connect to two external I/O channels (either input or output) to connect to your external modular or semi-modular equipment, and it employs breadboard jumper wires for internal patch connections. It also has a headphone output so you can easily take it with you and listen to music wherever you are.
We see this pairing well with its siblings, Kastle V1.5 and Kastle Drum and you’ve got a collection, of lo-fi synthesizers with a level of flexibility of the most complex modular systems.
