Blackstar Announce The Silverline Series, Their New Generation of Digital Modelling Amps

UK amp gurus Blackstar have just announced their new digital amp range – the Silverline. Taking technology from their award winning TVP amp range, the amps utilise patented technology used to recreate 6 valve power-amp responses. These responses play and feel just like the dynamics you would expect from each valve set. On the Silverline series Blackstar have used the SHARC chip set, a powerful processor that can be found in units like the Helix and Axe Fx.

‘Digital guitar amp’ is no longer a dirty phrase with guitarists in 2019… 10 years ago you’d see a guitarist scrutinized around the gigging scene if you turned up with such witchcraft. We’re at a point where credible guitarists are not only happy to use digital, but seek out the platform in the studio and live. The practical plus points of these units now give the guitarist a plethora of tone and effect options are their very finger tips, the Blackstar Silverline does just this. Six stage valve response and world class drivers come as standard with the Silverline range and will definitely turn heads in venues, studios and living rooms across the globe, for the right reasons.

Press release excerpt –

“In designing the Silverline Series, Blackstar’s engineers made intuitive tonal control a top priority. Pick from Blackstar’s lauded set of six amplifier voices; dial it in with volume, EQ, and Blackstar’s patented ISF control; pair your tone with one of six emulated power amp (Response) sections – Including KT88, 6L6, KT66, EL34, 6V6, or EL84; then adjust a few controls to add studio-grade, boutique effects. It’s that easy. With no menus or novel-thick manuals, Silverline Series takes the crown for the most powerful, best sounding and easiest-to-use digital amps available today.”

A Celestion V type speaker can be found in each combo and cabinet configuration. The V Type gives even the smaller wattage combos the punch needed in a live situation to cut through the mix. The characteristics of this driver enhances chiming higher frequencies whilst keeping the mid punch and body of a vintage voiced speaker.
