Carmen Vandenberg has secured her first signature model amplifier with Blackstar, the CV30, a 2 channel, 1 x 12″ combo valve amp.
Vandeberg’s bold and brash riffs in Bones UK vary from a more traditional driven blues tone to crazed industrial distortion, relying heavily on pedal effects with Blackstar amps providing the punchy British valve amp character. Vandenberg collaborated with the Blackstar engineers and came up with a feature set, tone and look tailored to her ideals, carefully optimizing the key power amplifier for the outstanding dynamics normally associated with a USA 6L6 design, whilst adding the chime and shimmer of a classic British Class A amplifier.
