As part of their Play Series Collection, Native Instruments have dropped a new Kontakt instrument geared towards Trap/Drill, Hip-Hop and R&B producers in mind. Cloud Supply comes equipped with 125 sounds and 150 presets of keys, plucks, pads and melodies created by producer and sound designer Snipe Young. If you’re familiar with the genre, you’ll recognise the sinister lo-fi quality of the sounds, with plenty of wavy pads, bells.
Like all Play Series instruments, Cloud Supply features a simple interface which balances expressive control over the synth engine and immediate playability. The sound engine is comprised of 2 blendable sound sources comprised of 125 different sounds created from analogue gear, hybrid sound sources, resampling and high-end processing. If you’re keen to create your own presets, you can pop the hood of the synth to find more editing tools to customise your FX chains the way you like, plus there’s also a step-sequencer for creating your own melody patterns.
