Blackstar Amplification and rock/blues guitarist Jared James Nichols recently teamed up to release his signature JJN-20 head and cabinet and we have been fortunate to get our hands on it to hear how it sounds!
The JJN-20 is based on the new HT-20 MkII with a new aesthetic, and mismatched 2×12 vertical cabinet. It features the classic spec of two EL84 valves in the power stage and ECC83 valve in the preamp and is packed with features guitarists at home, in studios and on stage will love.
The mismatched 2×12 cabinet is loaded with Celestion V-Type and G12T-75 speakers, offering a unique tone to the Blackstar staple. It also has a removable panel so you can have either a closed back or semi-open back cabinet for a variety of tones and feel.
