KORG Berlin Announce New Acoustic Synthesis Prototype at Superbooth 2023

Headed by Tatsuya Takahashi, the engineer known for bringing us instruments such as the minilogue and Volcas to name a few, KORG Berlin has announced they will be presenting a prototype electronic instrument at Superbooth in Berlin. The prototype seems to introduce a new sound generation technology that blends physical sound generation with electronic controls.

The single image released looks quite bespoke with minimal controls and a unique visual character. I’m certainly interested to hear the details and if Takahashi’s reputation is anything to go by, this could be the beginning of an exciting new family of electronic instruments from the famous Japanese brand.

Here’s what KORG Berlin is saying

“After keeping research and development under wraps for the last couple of years, KORG Berlin is thrilled for their Superbooth debut in their hometown.
The development team will be showcasing an early prototype of their new sound generation technology – a form of acoustic synthesis which unites the sonic richness of real physically vibrating bodies with electronic control.
Having persevered through some challenging years for the industry as a whole, KORG Berlin is looking forward to this opportunity to connect with the wider community. Presenting at Superbooth 2023, KORG Berlin is hoping to spark excitement and to welcome synergy, dialogue and collaboration amongst their customers and the industry at large”
