Music Australia, in partnership with APRA AMCOS, has announced an exciting opportunity for musicians and publishers—especially those outside of metropolitan Melbourne and from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The High Score Scholarships program is designed to help increase access to the High Score event, a two-day deep dive into the world of composing for video games.
If you’re a musician or publisher living outside Melbourne or part of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community, this is a rare opportunity to attend a top-tier event like High Score without worrying about the costs. High Score is one of the leading events focused on composing for video games, offering incredible insights from industry experts, networking opportunities, and resources to help further your career. The scholarship covers flights, accommodation, and even gives you access to the event’s video on demand service so you can revisit sessions after the event wraps up.
The scholarships are open to anyone aged 18+ and submissions close on Monday, 9 September at 10:00am AEST. If you’ve already bought a ticket, don’t worry—if you’re successful, the cost of your ticket will be refunded. There are separate application links depending on whether you’re applying as a musician or publisher:
