NAMM 2020 – First Look at Blackstar Amplification Sonnet Acoustic Guitar & Vocal Amplifier

We were lucky enough to get a close look at Blackstar’s newest product the ‘Sonnet’ acoustic amp range. These come in a 60 & 120-watt configuration with all the additions you would hope to see on a full-range amplifier. High Pass Filters and ‘Brilliance’ controls help to dial in the exact amount of sparkle to a lively piezo pickup whilst a ‘Shape’ feature will determine the EQ of your direct tone. A USB port can be found to connect your amp directly to your computer for studio-quality recording tones and the overall size and weight making it an easy portable choice for gigs.

We had Duncan take us through some tones in the Sonnet range with Acoustic and Nylon strung guitars. These amps land in Australia end of Jan 2020.
