New Duality DFZ Bass Pedal Unveiled by Darkglass

Duality DFZ, a new bass guitar effects pedal from Darkglass Electronics, is the successor to the Duality Dual Fuzz and features two discrete fuzz circuits that can be used to switch between a high-gain tone and a gated sawtooth wave.

You’ll notice that the controls have been significantly simplified to make the most of the central rotary control, which is equipped with two discrete fuzz circuits that produce what Darkglass refers to as a “raunchy high-gain sound” and a “gated saw-tooth wave.”, and you can explore more expansive fuzzy horizons by combining them.

Behind a panel on the pedal’s back, two additional controls are accessible as well. Users can mix their clean signal with the overdriven signal produced by the pedal using the Blend dial, and they can adjust the amount of high-frequency content in the fuzz signal using the Filter knob. When using the Blend control, the clean signal stays at unity gain, and the front panel allows for fine control of the blend ratio.
