New Spector Basses: NS Ethos with Aguilar Hardware and Multi-Scale NS Dimension

Spector have just announced the Dimension and Ethos series bass guitars today, the Dimension is a nod to the recent fanned-fret lineage of basses and the Ethos envelopes the electronics and finishes generally found on their high-end USA offerings.

Dimension

The dimension range finds Spector delving into the extended range territory for the first time In their production line basses. The 37’ – 34’ scale twinned with the Fishman Fluence pickups instantly suit the bassist looking for a modern instrument capable of drop tunings and clean /crisp tones. The finishes are pretty unique with the ‘Haunted Moss’ an instant favorite of mine. Other high end additions include a 5 piece maple / Wenge neck with Luminlay side dots for ultimate visibility. Available in 4 and 5 string configs.

• 5pc Maple/Wenge Neck –Neck-Thru
• 24 Fret Wenge Fingerboard
• Luminlay Side Dots
• Die-cast tuners; Brass Nut
• Black Hardware

Available in Haunted Moss Matte or Super Faded Black Gloss

Ethos

The Ethos range takes influence from Spector’s high-end boutique USA line up. The Interstellar finish is a real eye-catcher when matched with the exotic poplar burl top. Aguilar pickups and electronics are generally found on higher-end bass offerings and I think this is a perfect match for an instrument of this caliber. Spector’s classic fully contoured body shape adds to the look and feel of this bass which is available in 4 and 5 string configs.

• 3pc Maple Neck – Neck-Thru
• 24 Fret Rosewood Fingerboard with 12th fret Spector inlay
• Die-cast tuners; Locking bridge
• Brass Nut; Black Hardware

Available in Interstellar Gloss or Super Faded Black Gloss
