After months of rumours, Arturia finally revealed their flagship PolyBrute Limited “Noir” Edition. A 61-note polyphonic analogue keyboard with 6 voices and a limited-edition stealthy black finish are some of the features you might expect from such a new addition to Arturia’s synth arsenal.
The PolyBrute Noir Edition seems to adhere to the mods of earlier “Noir” Black versions. The tan end cheeks with their Tolex-covered recesses on the original Polybrute are no longer present. The multi-axis Morphée controller loses its distinctive brown wood look, as well as the strip that holds the ribbon controller.
These are all swapped out by substitutes made of black wood. The pitch bend and mod wheels now have an ionised black finish, and even the metalwork has a smooth, fresh black paint job. The only colours that stand out are the names of the two filter kinds that PolyBrute offers, which are green and orange. And the sequencer/arp section’s sole white rate control knob from the original is now also black.
As with all Noir editions, the specifications of the synth remain the same as the non-noir editions.
The Poybrute Noir is due in Australia in late February 2023.
*For a limited time only, Australian Arturia dealers will be offering wooden legs worth RRP $419.00 absolutely free with every Polybrute purchase.
