Source Audio Announce Artifakt Lo-fi Elements: The First True Lo-Fi Pedal?

Source Audio has designed this pedal from scratch to deliver all of those hazy, scratchy, wobbly, and broken tones that embody that ‘lo-fi’ sound.

Much like a mega-delay or mega-reverb, the Artifakt is a source for all the essential lo-fi effects, including old vinyl sounds, tape modulation and saturation, bit crushing, sample rate reduction, dark reverb and echo, filtering, compression, and glitch. Source Audio spent three years refining these sounds and designing an intuitive interface that puts the pedal’s full potential at your feet.

Key Features & Specs

  • Seven effect engines: Radio, Tape, µVerb, Crush, Ladder, Vinyl, Glitch
  • 16 presets: Accessible directly on the pedal (128 available via MIDI)
  • Dual footswitches – Both to engage/bypass, scroll presets, and perform all available engine-specific functions
  • Complete MIDI Control – Accessed via 3.5mm TRS MIDI IN and THRU jacks
  • USB-C port for connection to Neuro 3.0 app for preset downloading and effect editing
  • Stereo ins and outs
  • External expression control for unique tonal options between effects
  • Use active analog or true bypass

Now, combine the Lo-fi Elements with Source Audio’s entirely overhauled Neuro 3 software to take your pedal experience even further. Free stage-ready presets from Source Audio’s expanding library of factory and user-generated presets. It goes deep into Neuro’s flagship editing to mix and mangle the many lo-fi elements in limitless combinations for an utterly individual sound. The Artifakt has stereo inputs and outputs, complete MIDI control over 3.5mm TRS jacks, dual footswitches, 128 presets, and more.

The Artifakt Lo-fi Elements, bring a comprehensive suite of lo-fi effects right to your pedalboard. It is a compact way to create those nostalgic, gritty sounds so prevalent in modern music.
