The Digitech Drop pedal. Based on Digitech's legendary Whammy pedal.
The DigiTech Drop is a polyphonic drop tune pedal that enables you to drop your tuning from one semitone all the way down to a full octave.
Drop tune pedals have been on the scene for a while now, but none quite like this. The stigma behind drop tune pedals was always the tracking not being great and your tone being badly affected it.
As you’ll see in the demo video I made below, the Drop doesn’t have the usual drawbacks from drop tune pedals. In fact, they are non-existent in this pedal. It tracks really well, and doesn’t affect your tone in any negative way.
I found the pedal to be really inspiring, pushing me to write differently while experimenting with different tunings. It’s also a real big bonus how quickly you can change tunings.
For the guys who are in cover bands and need multiple guitars for multiple tunings, you now have a tool where all your tunings are in one compact, easy to use pedal!
The Digitech Drop works beautifully. It does what it says on the box without sacrificing your all-important tone.
