To celebrate their 20th-anniversary French synth lords at Arturia have announced that they’ve bundled pretty much everything from their software back catalogue, whacked it on a 250GB hard drive and are releasing it as the Sound Explorers Collection. This is a limited-edition instore only release that gives you a comprehensive collection of Arturia’s virtual analogue synths, effects and sound banks – AWESOME!! So, what do you get exactly?
When it comes to legendary virtual synth emulation Arturia are no doubt the MVP’s, having become experts in the game using their exclusive ‘True Analogue Emulation’ technology. The most recent edition of the V-Collection featured some notable additions including the Synthi-V an emulation of the legendary EMS synth plus an emulation of the Casio CZ series from the 1980s. Check out our overview of V-Collection 7 here:
It’s nice to see Pigments included too, being one of the most powerful virtual synths on the market. Pigments set it’s self apart from Arturia’s analogue emulations from the V-Collection as their first-ever original software instrument.
There’s a lot to like here, and the reusable SSD drive is a nice touch, so if you’ve ever wanted to own an extensive range of Arturia’s virtual synths and effects now is your chance, but be quick this is strictly a limited edition release.
