Would You Like a Strat Built Out of Colour Pencils?

There have been many talented people using colour pencils to craft hand-carved sculptures and patterned jewelry but what about a guitar? Yes that’s what an artist who goes by the name of Burls Art has built, an electric guitar, a Fender Stratocaster in fact, out of 1200 colored pencils.

“I saw a lot of people online making bowls out of colored pencils and I wanted to take it up a notch and make something that I can actually utilize and enjoy more so than a bowl,” said Burls Art. “So I decided on making a (Fender) Stratocaster-style electric guitar.” Despite having never made a guitar before, the ambitious craftsman set about sculpting the incredible handmade instrument, step-by-step.

Fender have also the commented on his You Tube Channel , writing “This is really incredible! It also sounds really great. Nice work!”
