Danish audio brand AIAIAI has teamed up with creative collective Brain Dead for a limited-edition release that pays tribute to the music culture of Los Angeles. Known for their modular headphones and distinct design approach, this collaboration offers a fresh perspective on the AIAIAI Tracks headphones and the Unit-4 Studio Monitor speakers.
AIAIAI has built a reputation for delivering modular audio products that balance function and form. Brain Dead, with its underground culture influences and bold visual style, brings a fresh look to AIAIAI’s hardware. The result is a limited-run release that combines refined sound quality with standout aesthetics.
The Unit-4 Studio Monitors have also been given a unique visual overhaul while maintaining their reliable wireless performance. Their combination of portability and clean, accurate sound makes them a solid option for creative spaces.
To celebrate the launch, AIAIAI and Brain Dead will host an event at Zebulon in Los Angeles on January 25, 2025. Attendees can expect live performances from artists such as Knumears, February, Sinema, and Kiowa, as well as a selection of local vendors. The event offers a chance to experience the collaboration up close while enjoying live music.
For those who can’t make it in person, a limited-run cassette compilation featuring some of the event’s artists will be available for purchase. Proceeds from these sales will go to the California Fire Fund, supporting those affected by recent wildfires.
The AIAIAI x Brain Dead collection will be available starting January 28, 2025, through AIAIAI and Brain Dead’s online stores, as well as select local retailers.
AIAIAI and Brain Dead have brought their respective strengths together in a way that feels natural and exciting. This collection offers a combination of high-quality sound and distinctive design that could appeal to both audio enthusiasts and fans of Brain Dead’s unique style.
With a limited run and a solid lineup of supporting events, this collaboration is set to turn heads. Keep an eye out when these hit the shelves—they won’t stick around for long.
