Announced earlier this year, Akai’s new standalone music workstation FORCE has just started hitting Australian stores and to coincide with the arrival, Akai has released a new software update that adds Splice integration to Force, MPC Live and MPC X.
Users can access and audition their Splice sample libraries directly from their hardware via wifi and load them into Force or MPC projects. This sees Akai join the ranks of Native Instruments who have recently added Sounds.com integration directly into Maschine and Komplete Kontrol software interfaces. Users of these content platforms should surely see a much smoother workflow between auditioning sounds and samples on the website to loading them within their projects which can be particularly handy when looking for some inspiration.
