Arturia’s virtual arsenal of classic synthesisers continues to grow with the addition of the OB-Xa V, an emulation of the classic polyphonic monster from Oberheim introduced in 1981.
Considered by some to be the definitive polyphonic synth of the 80s thanks largely to its iconic inclusion on a particular Van Halen song, the OB-Xa is renowned for its lush, rich, fat sound. Its 8 voices with 2 oscillators each sound fantastic played polyphonically but really scream when stacked in Unison for monstrous monophonic lead and bass sounds.
Arturia’s software emulation covers everything that made the original hardware so popular as well as adding some great new features to take it to the next level, and beyond.
Check out our video for more info on these features and sound examples.
There is an introductory offer from Arturia available until the 9th of June which you might want to jump on and discounts are available to existing Arturia customers.
