NI is back with some more product software updates this time for Traktor DJ 2, the most recent and refined version of Traktor. This new update has gained momentum with the DJ community for its compatibility with iOS for iPads and plug-and-play integration with Traktor S2 and S3 hardware controllers.
The new updates bring further improvements to the software, making what I thought was an already competent DJ software, even better. Here are the full release notes:
The new Traktor DJ 2.4 update features a ‘Slide-to-Play’ that works similarly to when your using the hardware controller and is useful for when Cueing in tracks and having the track continue to play. In case you haven’t seen nor heard of Traktor DJ, it is a refined free version of the flagship Traktor Pro 3 available for free on iPad iOS and Desktop devices. The App integrates exclusively with Traktor S2 and S3 hardware controllers and features 2 deck mixing, FXs, Soundcloud GO+ streaming integration plus some a very competent SYNC functionality for DJing standalone without a hardware controller. Did I mention it’s free?
