BIGSOUND, Australia’s Biggest Music Industry Event, Announce Festival Line-Up

Once again this year, Fortitude Valley in Queensland is set to host an enormous influx of music industry big wigs, artists and of course, punters, for the largest music-industry festival/conference in the Southern hemisphere: BIGSOUND. Going down from Tuesday September 3 to Friday September 6, the event combines workshops, seminars, exhibitions, parties and gigs into a 3-blocks space within the Valley, and this year Noisegate are stoked to be an official partner.

Today the BIGSOUND team annouced the artist line-up for the music festival portion of the event, and it’s enormous – 76 promising acts including, Ainsley Farrell, Bad//Dreems, Outright, LOSER, Lucy Peach, MID CITY, Love Deluxe and Raj Mahal are set to trek from around Australia for the marathon event. Get the full line-up here.

Gigs are on every night across 18 venues. For above artists, these gigs aren’t just for the punters, they’ll be playing their little hearts out for Terry McBride from Canadian powerhouse Nettwerk Music (Xavier Rudd, Father John Misty, Stereophonics), talent scouts from  Sub Pop (Nirvana, Fleet Foxes, Foals), Captured Tracks (Mac Demarco, DIIV, Beach Fossils), Mom + Pop Records (Tom Morello, Courtney Barnett, Tash Sultana), Green Man Festival, Domino Creative Sync, Paradigm Agency (Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, The XX, Bon Iver), Primary Talent International (Catfish and The Bottlemen, DMA’s, Alt-J), The Feldman Agency (Sarah McLachlan, Simple Plan, Michael Buble) and many more. So you can bet they’ll be giving it their all!

If you’re keen on just going along to check out the music, all you need is a Rainbow Pass, which gets you entry to all festival venues on each night, plus the closing party for a bargain $85. Those interested in the full range of conferences and events will need a Purple Pass,  check out the ticketing options here.

This year also sees BIGSOUND make a big move, with the conference hub being moved from the Judith Wright Centre to the Cloudland complex, providing expanded facilities centrally located right amongst all the action.

Further scheduling and programming info will be coming in August, in the meantime, grab your tickets and further info via their website here.
