Do you want to sound like a pro? The Ibanez Prestige AZ2200 Series can help you get there! We find that not only do these guitars live up to the hype, but they deliver an incredible tone, no matter what your level or style of playing.
In this video, Andy takes a look at both the AZ2203N ATQ and the AZ2204N WDTB models both fitted with Seymour Duncan® Fortuna pickups, and you’ll see and hear for yourself just how amazing and versatile the guitar tones these guitars can produce.
Andy loves the AZ2204N WDTB model so much, he is going to hang onto it a little bit longer…
The configuration of the Seymour Duncan® Fortuna pickups on both the models reviewed here deliver so much versatility rarely seen on guitars and we have to say that we were certainly impressed. The S-S-S pickup configuration AZ2203N ATQ model delivered a natural clean voicing and the overall tonal balance worked well with the effects used in the video in particular overdrive and delay. The AZ2204N WDTB model is equipped with the S-S-H configuration, and we discovered it to be even more versatile with so many tonal options that any player who plays a variety of genres will find especially useful.
With the jumbo stainless steel frets, roasted maple neck, rosewood fretboard, alder body and special features like the all-access neck joint, luminlay side dots and 5 tremolo springs, these guitars are up there with some of our favourite guitars reviewed.
We’d like to thank Ibanez Guitars Australia and the Australis Music Group for providing us with the guitars for this review.
