Music Man’s St. Vincent Signature Model Gets a Revamp

St Vincent’s Music Man signature model guitar made waves back in 2015, its striking angular shape designed with women in mind, still looks undeniably cool in 2021.  The just announced St Vincent ‘Goldie’ is an update and reimagining of the guitar, with a lighter Okoume wood body addressing some comments about the guitar’s weight, as well as a number of other changes.

Music Man's St. Vincent Signature Model Gets a RevampThe Goldie gets a trio of newly-designed Ernie Ball Music Man gold foiled mini humbucking pickups that give the revised model its name, with a 5-way switching arrangement. The neck is now a roasted figured Maple neck with a Rosewood or Ebony fretboard (depending on the finish chosen). The redesigned pickguard is now a more minimal shape, occupying a small quarter of the body. The custom Music Man tremolo now packs Brass saddles instead of steel, which look gorgeous alongside the gold pickups. And of course, no update is complete without new finishes, the St Vincent Goldie is available 3 very handsome new finishes dubbed Cashmere, Velveteen and Solk Charmeuse.

Music Man's St. Vincent Signature Model Gets a RevampThe guitar was debuted on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, with Music Man following it up with an official announcement shortly after. Check out the performance below.
