Contrary to popular belief, we did not develop this new pedal in conjunction with Darkglass Electronics, the bass guitar equipment aficionado company from Helsinki, Finland. Darkglass have the know-how to develop its own pedals and has been very good at it. Just check out their very popular Microtubes range of pedals.
The new NSG Noise Gate pedal is designed to eliminate unwanted noise and hum in a bassist signal chain. It is particularly useful for high-gain settings and when using multiple pedals or other noisy equipment. The pedal works by analyzing the incoming signal and cutting off any signal that falls below a certain threshold. This can effectively eliminate unwanted noise and hum without affecting the original tone.
As with all Darkglass pedals, the NSG pedal is known for its high-quality construction and with simplistic approach and ease to use, while being highly versatile, the NSG can be utilized with a variety of audio equipment such as bass guitars, guitars, or any kind of instruments. Additionally, it boasts a compact size, making it a convenient addition to your pedal setup.
The Darkglass NSG is due in Australia in late April.
