In more Superbooth news, a desktop module version of Oberheim’s acclaimed OB-X8 eight-voice synthesiser that was released in 2022, will soon be available. The module offers almost all of the features found in its full-sized counterpart while taking up a fraction of the space, boasting an identical sound engine and the same knob-per-function panel as the keyboard version.
The desktop version is the same as its keyboard predecessor in every way except for the absence of a keyboard and pitch/mod paddles. This means that a discrete VCO, VCA, and filter-based, all-analog signal path is still provided. Additionally, the Arpeggiator and Keyboard Split & Double features are still available.
