Fans of Universal Audio previously have only been able to access this free DAW if they use a Mac computer, but no longer. Luna is now available through an open Beta for Windows users, allowing customers who own other UAD devices to work in and complete their Universal Audio ecosystem if they so choose.
Luna is Universal Audio’s very own DAW and promotes itself as having a ‘signature sound’, something that UA is known for. Luna has a lot of UA’s expertise in emulating famous recording equipment built in, meaning you can get a ‘studio’ sound just from using your DAW. The best part is that there is a FREE version, and PRO version. The Free version of Luna isn’t even stripped back. You get access to the full program minus some of the juicy plug-ins and console emulations found in the Pro version.
