KORG has released a free NTS-3 kaoss pad KORG KONTROL Editor for Windows and Mac. It lets you edit FX programs on your computer and manage compatible custom effects built with the logue SDK.
For background on the hardware, see our original kit announcement.
KORG clearly states that the unit is not compatible with NTS-1 or NTS-1 mkII plugins, and users should seek support from third-party developers for any custom content issues. The editor also handles importing custom effects. Users can easily add custom oscillators and effects distributed as “user unit” files by dragging and dropping the files into the editor’s corresponding list and pressing the SEND button to upload them to the hardware. Detailed instructions and additional features are available in the included Operation Manual.
In conjunction with the KONTROL Editor, KORG is also highlighting the availability of third-party custom content for the NTS-3 kaoss pad, created by various developers. This custom content includes a range of innovative oscillators and effects, expanding the capabilities of the NTS-3 kaoss pad. For a comprehensive list of available units, visit KORG’s logue SDK unit index.
